Last weekend I went to the movie theater. I went to go see the movie Pete's Dragon. It was a really good movie. This movie has a lot of action but some parts are kind of slow. What I mean by that is sometimes there is nothing exciting and there is nothing good happening. Also the movie is pretty long. Okay let's stop talking about the bad stuff. Let's start talking about how it is good. If you like movies that have action and adventure you will definitely like this one. It has a lot of running away from people, capturing things, and some people die. In the movie it really is only sad at the beginning and the end. The other bad thing I thought was that they start off the movie with the mom and dad dying. It is really happy in most parts. Also there really is no scary parts so it is great for young kids. There are maybe some parts in the movie that might be a little scary but it is not too bad. Overall this movie is really great and if you like action I bet you this is the movie for you! Thanks for reading my blog. Bye!
, This week's constructed response is on our top three most difficult challenges were so far. I have had a lot of challenges so far and all of them were not so good. My top three are when every time I tried to post a blog it would delete it and I would have to restart it. My second one would be that my website would not work and kind of deleted itself. My final most toughest challenge was that I had a hard time learning how to work all the cameras. Now I will explain to you about those tough challenges.
So my first toughest challenge is that every time I posted a blog or tried to save it it would delete it. Whenever I wrote my blogs at night it would just delete it when I went out of it would not save. One night I was writing my blog and I was done with it so I posted it. Then I went to go check it on another computer but it would not show. I was so mad. The next day I went to talk to Mr. M and he told me just to make another website and it worked. I was so mad that I had to make another website but I am glad it worked out.
My second toughest challenge was when I wrote a few weeks worth of blogs and fixed everything so it was how it was supposed be but my whole website deleted. It said I had to start over, chose a new domain, and do everything again!!!! I was so angry. I still did it again. It was not so bad because Mr. M told me to do it so I was fine with it. I made a new website and fixed everything and then it was fine. I copied and pasted my blogs back on my website so it was okay. At first I was really mad but it turned out okay.
So my first two challenges were pretty bad but I still have one more. My last but not least is that I had a hard time learning how to work the new and cool cameras. At first I asked some people and they showed me how. I listened and I remembered for a little while but then I forgot. Eventually after being told a couple of times I remembered how to work them. I will probably need some more help working the more advanced cameras. At least that was not my worst challenge.
So I think all of these challenges are pretty tough but my first two were the worst. When the first one happened it was not so bad but when it happened again it was the worst. They were all pretty tough. I think these challenges are pretty bad for now but I bet later in the year they will get worse.
So last weekend I watched a movie called "Race". In this movie there is this guy who has colored skin. He is very brave and once he starts something he will not quit until he wins. He starts out as this guy who lives with his family. He lives in a poor neighborhood and his family is poor. He lives back where black or colored skin people were not treated fairly. He eventually gets a scholarship from Ohio University to race. When he gets there he is not treated fairly but he is still brave and believes in himself. He gets really good and wins all his competitions with a first place ribbon. He eventually finds out that there is the next olympics coming up so he decides to try out. He makes it to the olympics but once he goes to germany he finds out the germans don't like the colored skin people so he gets worried. After a while he overcomes his own fears and races. He wins all the races he is in. He eventually makes it to the championship but still wins! After he wins all the german players and other players do not make fun of him. They all go up to him and congratulate him. All in all this movie was really great and if you have not seen it you should. Thanks for reading my blogs! Bye!
For this weeks given topic we are writing about our summer project. If you did not know last summer we had a summer camp for media. We started working on a Hiki No franchise piece. My partner was Lucas Myers. Our project was on hawaiian checkers: Konane. I am going to tell you guys where Lucas and I are with our project, how we are going to fix it, and when we are going to finish it. Hope you Enjoy!!
Our project still needs some work. We still have to videotape some more and go back and edit. We need to go back and fix everything that needs some work. I had to rewrite the script so we have to do the voice over again but that should not take to long. Also some of our shots did not match the script so we are going to change that. We have to take better shots when we videotape and and have to get better angles. We have quite a few things we need to do to get our project done but I think we can get it done.
We are going to fix our problems by videotaping all of our messed up parts on Monday and Tuesday. Then on Wednesday we are going to read over the script and fix what we need to. After we are going to do our voice overs again. Lastly on thursday we are going to edit all of it and go back and check if there is any mistakes that we can fix.
We are going to fix our videotaping by getting better shots. Also when we videotape we are going to get better angles and have more close ups and extreme close ups. For our voice overs we are going to make that better by having our script ready and take our time not rush. Lastly for editing we will be taking all lot of time on that so we do not miss anything. We will take our time and not rush so everything is perfect and not messed up.
If we do all of these things according to this we should be able to finish all that we need to by Friday. Also if we do not rush and take our time we should have a pretty good video done by Friday. Most of all if we just relax and take our time we will have everything done, everything done well, and a video posted that everyone may enjoy. Hope you enjoy!!
Hello everyone! Thanks for coming back again and looking at my blogs. This blog is about this cool youtube channel called "Screen Rant". This channel shows videos about different movies and all the little mistakes that the director did not notice before publishing. They also show some other things like pointing out mistakes that normally you would not notice. The cool thing about this channel is that they find every single detail or most of the hidden details. This video is about 10 different hidden details in hidden movies that when you watch them you do not normally notice. If you watch this and want more just search up screen rant. Hope you enjoy and have a nice day.
For this week's given topic it will be about having goals. Having goals will always help you get better at doing things. Everyone has goals. Especially for me since this is my first year in the advanced media class. For me since I have never done blogs or big quarterly projects I think my goals would to be able to edit better, making sure all my blogs or projects are turned in when they are due, and lastly I want to help myself not get frustrated every time something doesn't work out.
Editing is a very big part of any video. If you do not videotape a good video you can always go back and look at the video again and edit anything bad you see. If I want to get better at editing I would do it by taking more of my time going back and editing. I would not just go back and fix the little stuff. I would go back and take a while to go back and make sure it is perfect. I would also look at it a couple times and then ask someone else if it sounds good. If someone else sees it they sometimes can see things that you did not see. Being able to edit should help everyone have better videos.
Making sure my blogs or projects are done on time for me since I'm new to the media class might be hard at first. The way I would accomplish that goal would be by doing my given topic blog the day I know what the topic is. If the topic takes a while to be posted I would just do my free topic one. Once the topic is posted I would do the given topic one right away. If one day I did not have that much homework I would just do both of my blogs right away so I would not have to worry about getting the blogs done later in the week. Also when I would write my blogs I would go back and reread to make sure my writing is able to be understood. I would go back to make sure I spelled everything correct, I would check all my grammar, and lastly would go back to check punctuation or capitalization. If I turned projects in late it is a big deal because a lot of the time that assignment is a big part of your grade. If you turn your project in late it could take your grade down a long ways. For me if I wanted to turn something in on time I would start working on it right when I got it. Then I would keep working on it hard till you know it is completed but really you can always make it better so when you get a project don't waste too much time thinking of ideas because you should have your ideas before you start.
My last goal would be to not worry about something that happens. Whenever I write something or make something and it doesn't work out I get frustrated. Sometimes when that happens I get very anxious. This year I will try to fix that by every time something does not work out and isn't correct I will just relax, get over it, and just try again. Every time something does not work out I should not worry about it because it will only make it worse. Sometimes even though I wrote a long and good paragraph I will try not to worry about it because it can only make me better.
In conclusion goals are really important. They will always keep you on track and will always make you better. If you are not that good at something you always set goals to keep you on track and make you accomplish them. Well thanks for stopping by and reading my blogs. Bye and have a nice day.
This is Evan with his very first blog of the year. This is my free blog. It can be anything I want but it has to be media related. This YouTube channel is about people that do cool tricks with baseballs, basketballs, tennis balls, ping pong balls, and footballs. In the videos they do crazy tricks like throwing a basketball from high up in the stands at a football stadium to a basketball hoop down on the field. With the ping pong balls they bounce them off little pieces of wood into a cup. In a new video they made they use the big jugs of water and do bottle flip tricks. That is when you the hold the bottle by its tip and flip it to try to land it on its bottom part. I choose this video because it has a variety of different shots and uses lots of different angles. Some videos have more angles or shots than others so if you want to check them out you can search up Dude Perfect on YouTube. In this video they are going to break world records by doing cool tricks.
My name is Evan and this is my first year in the CKTV Media Ohana. I really love it so far and cannot wait for more too come. My partner is Kai and Haley
